At 1:00 AM Beijing Time on September 10, Apple officially launched the eSIM-only iPhone Air. According to Apple's official website, eSIM is an industry-standard digital SIM card embedded in the iPhone, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card for users. China Telecom responded by stating that its eSIM mobile service is fully prepared and is expected to receive formal approval for commercial trials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology soon. Once approved, the service, including support for devices like the iPhone 17, will be quickly made available to users. The specific launch date will be announced in due course.
